i just saw that infinity 6010cs series are 6-1/2 inch

i thought the opening was for 5,5 inch

anyway the model is discontinued so i will have to find another ones

i got a set of pioneer speakers today 13cm and they are small!!! :bang:

i wonder who said that this is the correct size. i must return them now and find new ones.

can you please tell me the correct size of speakers?

Sorry, been a bit slow in searching out the piccies. The Infinities do need a little adjustment to make them fit but are well worth the effort, width wise they are fine but they are slightly more deeper than the originals. I will stick my neck out and say that the original size is 6 1/2 ins but is a shallow fit.

On my car I have a Kenwood 3031 player, Four channel 4 x 45W max power amplifier (4 x 30W RMS).

Till last week I used the original tweeters and now are burned (bad connection) and i don't know how to choose new tweeters.

I don't want to add an amp or a sub. Just those tweeters.

What are the caractheristics to respect? the watts have to be the same with the RMS of the player?

This might work?

Tweeter Sony Xplod XS-H 03
-[Hz] 5.000-22.000 Hz
-89 dB/W/m
-diametter 2,5 cm ?
-4ohm
-Input Power 100W Rated Input Power 50W
Will I burn my player?

Thanks

Hi, I don't know if anyone can help - do you know exactly how the Fiat speaker box fits to the bulkhead? I have ordered some bits I needed - bushes (2 sizes) and Screws.

The footwell speakers should be 6.5 (17cm) and the ones to fit the rear speakerbox are 5.25 (13cm). Tweeter sizes do vary and usually come with several options for plastic surround - I will check my alpines and let you know. Keep an eye on the depth of the speakers.

Can I ask if anyone has any info or pictures of Fiat's original speaker box that goes behind the seat in the limited edition B's?

I have had one that I have been meaning to fit to my standard B for ages and have ordered screws etc. I still can't see exactly how it fits or whether I need to drill holes.

I have gutted out the box and installed 2 mid-range Infinity speakers inside. So there is no power going to the unit now.

I have removed the covering and will remove the tank cover to bolt the speaker box on with a few carefully drilled holes. Once I have the speaker box in place I will re-trim the tank cover.

Can anyone tell me what the connection is in the picture? I have uncovered this but do not know what it would be for. Also, if anyone has any pictures of their Fiat subwoofer boxes in place can I see them please?

U can use this connector to feed your amp. This cable is contact switched so your battery won't drain.
You just need a bridge in your fuse box. Available from barchettaparts.

Need to think about that answer...

The rear screen is powered from the fusebox via the bridge connector but the on/off switch and control relay is mounted in the hardtop roof...No hardtop roof: No power to feed cable?

Besides... i think that those cables are too thin for an amplifier, they could overheat and burn (n).

If there is someone who has a picture of the barchetta without the cover behind the seats i will apreciate if you upload it so i can see how much room there is to install a sound system.(i dont want to remove mine because i dont know how to do it and i do not want to break anything just to look)
Regards

check this... there is quite some space behind passenger seat. for

Wow this looks really intersting. Would try to make something myself too. But... The room behind the plate covered with dynomat isn't really sealed, so i'm afraid it would sound crap.

I'm thinking in placing a small sub just onder the dash where the airco is placed.
(I don't have airco in the car) This way you wouldn't even see the sub and there is room enough. But will it sound ok?

or those under seats or behind seats on that metal plate. something like this.

Not neccessarily, if it is a 'free air' sub you do not need an enclosure and if sounds fine.
