I thought 'proper' postmen only worked morning shifts [up to 2pm, at a push, but that is a different story according to the press] - what are you doing with one after hours then? [}:)] apart from sniffing!

Ah, is this a follow up to the recent press stuff. Something along the lines of a backlog of mail still to be sorted, and the postmen don't want to do it - to actually post it means working up to end of shift, and because they are used to ending early, they want more money to finish the contracted shift.

Btw, this is only what I read, so have no evidence. No doubt Dispatches will tell more! Maybe we should all stop sending t-shirts via eBay - lol!:D

We have never got second deliveries where we live. I thought it was a myth!

Hmmm, back to serious issues, there is definitely something seriously wrong with RM, as you have now exposed to its' full extent. I think Dispatches tonight may be worth a look!

Yes, and I had to stop myself, I could go on forever because the public percieve the Royal Mail staff as the problem when it's this Government and RM senoir management that are the disease! [:(!]

Wow TC, very interesting about RM, I personally think it is a great service (although obviously could be better) and the only way to have it as it is, is to prevent other companies trying to take part of the market - it will ruin efficiency.

We used to get second deliveries but if i remember, only junk mail came then, we used to get mail at 7:30, now 10-11am which is useless. I could moan a lot about troubles with RM but TC has the monopoly on that!
