hiya guys an gals
can someone please help ive got a marea 2001 hlx 2ltr petrol on a y plate i need to change the drivers side back wheel bearing is this a doable job for diy what size sockett is it. it looks like 32mm to undo the the big nut to get bearing off and does the nut screw anti-clockwise to get it off look forward to your replys best regards steve

I don't have the manual here, but I remmeber that the torque on the bearing nut is huge, about 200 ft lbs. It's in the archives I'll try to find it.

hub nut is anticlockwise to loosen on either side.

it is an easy DIY job doing the rear (front is a bit more difficult).

you dont need mega torque, just as tight as you can with a 1/2" drive ratchet (if you're a weakling use a short bar on it)

cant remember socket size.
