I have one problem other than the obvious fuel consumption!!!

The Front wipers squeek and rub to f**k on the return sweep. They are fine when they are new for a week or two then ARRRGGGHHHH!

Any ideas on how to sort this out?

Cheers

Wipers

Just a thought - but do you work or live near a chemical plant or the likes or near a grinding place - only asking cos I used to get loads of what felt like 'overspray' over my car and it turned out it was from the **** that the place I worked at was pumping out. Could be that or could be the type of screenwash you may be using??? Just a few ideas....

wipers

my wipers are the worst, i went and bought some bosch blades to stop a really odd rubbing noise. did the noise go???? i don't think so. i have located it now but don't have a clue what to do... the noise is coming from the connection at the car, when the wiper moves the washer makes a silly noise. i have tried using grease but the noise is still there!

Cheers...but

I am fairly certain it is the springs which are too tight, but I don't know of a way to adjust them.

Halfords

Halfords do a screen wash that claims to lubricate the wipers.

I use the "Lemon Fresh" and its ok, perhaps this will help.

How do you wipe yours?

My wipers spread the water across the windscreen rather than remove it. Sadly, their least effective area is right in my line of sight when driving.

I am going to replace the baldes but it seems to me that the problem may well relate to the tension of the actual arm and the resulting pressure of the blade on the windscreen.

Are Bravo wipers known for being naff across the range or am I unlucky?

naff

I had some new wipers fitted last year. Squeeky as hell. I'll also got some of that McHalfords amazing screen wash which does bugger all to help the problem.

I don't think it rains much in Italy which is why they don't spend a lot of time on their wipers.

Roll on summer.....
