B&M: She's talking to me in Italian !?!?

Hi All,

Recently got Blue & Me with my new car... done software update on it to v6... and now instead of droning on like a dalek, she's barking orders at me in Italian !

Can someone tell me how to get her to speak English again ? lol :bang:

Also, how on earth do you get into the B&M menu ?

I might have lied to you there.. It looks like you can change the language the same way... go to the download page (above), then once filled in all the details (you can cancel the download if its started automatically)... Click on: Applicative and scroll down (under the sony ericsson bit) and theres a language selection bit.. click that.. then you can choose english.

(Note i've not tried it on 6.0 as I have a first generation B&M and cant update to 6)

I missed the 1st post i think.... so the 2nd one isn't making much sense....

If so, I used that to install the v.6 (English) update..., i even did it in 'assisted' mode to ensure i was getting the right version for the car.

It was deffo the English version I installed... I assume you're suggesting that somehow it's installed the wrong version, and I need to reapply the update double-triple checking it's 'ENGLISHHHHHH' ?

Yep sorry about that. I deleted the link and forgot I mentioned it in the second post.

You have the right one anyway.. choose all the options in there for your car and the right version of B&M etc... but dont download it again (cancel it if it starts automatically).

Then on that page theres those 4 boxes in the middle.. Click on Applicative (I think they mean applications) - red in the linked picture

And now below that there will be some text.. It says something about Sony Ericsson phones.. to the right of that text there is a mini scrollbar (green in the linked picture).. scroll down, and below the sony update theres a langauge update (also green).. click on the text and a new window will open.. You can then get the English update (and install it like you did v6 update)


As I say i've not tried it on 6.. but it worked for me on 5.6 on a bravo

Ahhhhhhhhh... got ya now... will give this a go. So, just stick it on the USB root, plug USB in to B&M, turn ignition to MAR... and wait 5 minutes ?

Just a quick post to update you... that worked a treat... so thanks again. I'd NEVER have noticed that wee scroll down bit on the website !
