Can anyone tell me best awning for my 1991 fiat ducato campervan. It's the high top with side sliding door and 2 back doors. Don't know what type to get

"Best" is personal and infinite.

Define length, height (van top or somewhere above door), manual wind?, fixing , heavy or lightweight material,.

And what's the budget?

New or second hand?

Go onto motorhome sites and accessory suppliers.

Put up a wanted add.

Motorhome, caravan and camper sites probably a better place for response. Also ask about a particular awning.

Good luck.

I already have a fiamma awning on van but looking for one to use as bedroom there is a wee channel above door and under fiamma awning is this to attach awning to van. Sorry I'm just new to this. It's an old 1991 motor caravan .

With your existing Fiamma canopy wound in you can attach a driveway awning to it using the bottom groove but will likely need the 4mm to 6mm adapters. You’ll likely need to check the height from the groove to floor to ensure there’s enough height on the awning. Vango are key players in that world.

…or if you’re not moving your van for duration of the stay consider obtaining Fiamma’s privacy room (side & front panels), although if buying new you’ll need to sell a kidney.
You will need to check the width of your own canopy so you could obtain the correct panels. There’s always some for sale on the bay of E with the words “only used once”.

Whichever direction you choose, secondhand would be the way to go.

Personally it takes away the mobility of our unit and adds more work pegging down and packing away, so on our Fiamma canopy I only use an end panel as a windbreak.
