Good morning folks
First post here so please forgive the numptyness
We are the proud new owners of a Maxi conversion. She is a bit battered in places but on the whole sound as a pound.
We need to fit some awning rail but where you would expect to put it has suffered from a bit of unexpected restoration while manoeuvring into a car park - not us I might add but it is safe to say that to put the rail in the normal place would be a bit impossible - Not a flat piece of bodywork for about a yard and a half
My plan is to put it on the roof and use double edged beading tape and figure of 8 fixing to bring the awning down to near the right level.
My question is about screwing the rail to the van - never done anything like this so can anyone see any pitfalls:shrug:
It has to go on the top as there just isnt any where flat enough anywhere else - well yes there is but that is on the other side of the van where there isnt a door
