Automatic Dual Zone climate control

When I use the MAX Def or the heated rear windscreen defrost functions after setting the auto temperature, will I need to reset the temperature and change back to auto mode after the defrost/demist function is complete or will this be automatic?

pretty sure on mine, it's the FAN that goes flat-out ( reads HI) for a relatively short time.., then times out and reverts to your own presets,
