MY Tipo currently has a manual Choke, if I bought a Carb that was Auto choke is it a straight swap and will it work?

The carb is from a 1989 1.6 Tipo DGT
as far as iam aware, all tipo carbs are manual choke. are you sure its auto? why are you changing it? i think because your current one is not functioning right. i would get your current one properly set up by a carb specialist. the tipo carb is not straight forward to tune and set up correctly. i think the people who did the job previously, made a complete shambles of it. otherwise, if you insist in changing it, there are loads of tipo and tempras lieing about in scrappys. you want a weber TLDE.:)

I think i drove a Tipo with an auto choke.

a Tipo DGT choke is for sale and I was told it was an Auto choke Carb

I want to change it to Auto choke because I have remote start on my car and it doesn't alway work with the Manual Choke as it has to be adjusted before leaving the vehicle which means it only works when you pull the stick all the way out and leave the engine to get really cold.

Furthermore with a Manual choke I cant show off the remote start unless the conditions are correct otherwise it fires and fails to start the Engine.
