Im happy with mine, fuel light came on monday, still havnt put any fuel in 52 miles later, dont think theres much left though!

well i have passed half way now, have hit 400miles but not telling how much is left!!!

After running thirsty cars for so long i really find it hard to believe how cheap this little thing is to run!

Its brilliant!

It's amazing how the "challenge" changes switching for petrol to diesel. Before I was all about how quick I could go regardless of fuel, now it's all about "can I break 550 miles with a tank?" - the fear of passing 100miles with the orange light is brilliant lol.

Aye, but I've got the big "thirsty" diesel and some issues which have yet to be resolved lol

I reckon I could do 150 miles with the light but I don't want to risk major engine damage.

i bet one of those isues doesnt include about 70 tie raps does it lol

it does actually :)

Plus my clutch feels like it's on the way out and my MAF may be playing up too :(

Oh, I forgot to say. I took all those cable ties off because the tape was melting. I wrapped some heavy duty tin foil round it (to act as a heat shield), taped it and got out the ties again. I still think there's a bit of a leak but it only has to last 2 weeks.

get some hard pipes made for it. it might give it that bit extra with the cooler air and all that it wouldnt be that exsensive niether

That could be a shout btw, I just don't know ho to go about getting that done.

look for a CUSTOM PIPES round yor end cos tat is who are doing mine they charge about £35 per bend wich is quite good to say the custom build it for youre car and its pollished too. thats for the 3" stuff so if its smaller it will be alot cheaper.

Hi All,

Well reading this thread has got me quite worried !!
When i fill my jtd up i only get 480 miles tops per tank. Mind you none of those miles are really motorway miles so to speak , do people think that is the norm??
let me know what you think

Regards,

K Walker

i get nearly 300 if im lucky :p

.... 1.4 12v aka £40 per week - every week - on fuel.

:(

filled up last night, 620miles :) could have gone on to about 640-650 ok but needed to go further the next morning so filled up the night before... shame...
