Hi there,
I have a 2004 stilo 2.4 prestigio with 31000 miles,
Every thing fine on start up drives great, but when I reach temperature or about 20 miles I get asr warning ,esr. ,gearbox failure lighting up on dash.and won’t change gear.
If I turn engine off for 5minutes everything ok for a bit.
I commute to work every day only short distance and no problems at all .just if I go on a long trip.
Had it plugged into obd and no faults found.
Any help would be appreciated.
Been looking on forum and most people seem to have problem on start up.
Gearbox oil ok
Kind regards

its torque speed sensor, its on the gearbox, think 19 spanner to remove, then clean end off sensor with a blow gun,and brake cleaner, you will see tiny holes at end off the brass sensor, they get blocked by tiny dirt particles, this then sends bad message to ecu, which sets off asr fault on dash, causing gearbox to act faulty,i bet on it,thats what happening to you abarth, same happened to mine, perfect now after removal and clean off sensor.

Thanks very much for your quick response. I'll give it a go and let you know what happens.
