arse bandit of a backbox,help needed!

evening troops.got a remus backbox fitted yesterday,brought it home and it was rattling a bit wen pulling away in 1st gear,took in bak in 2day,they guy says it is the heatshield thats rattling,so he says theyd cut the bit that was rattling off it cuz it doesnt do much supposedly and that was me sorted!! i think not,i brot it home agen and just as i was getin home herd the rattling agen aaaaaargh!! any1 know any temporary solutions,seems that my heatshield is either rattlin off the backbox or the car??? help!

If the heat sheild is now rattling AFTER they have fitted the exhaust then they have either: -

a) Installed an exhaust that just isn't compatible with the car or;
b) Damaged the heat shield during the fitting.

The heat shields are there to prevent heat from your exhaust from damaging certain heat sensitive parts of your car. For example, one of the heatshields prevents heat from affecting your plastic fuel tank.

If they can't fit the exhaust without damaging or making the heat shield rattle then I'd get them to take it off and put a standard exhaust on, at no expense to you of course.
