General Are there other ways to open a Grande Punto 2008 boot?

$113 is about £60, plus 15% GST. Because it has to come from Japan, I'm expecting it will take a week or so for the card to arrive in the post...

I hope they keep the numbers in a computer system, rather than thousands of little cards in drawers as I've been led to believe :chin:

The CODE is for the Body Computer so needs to come from FIAT, nothing to do with the proximity-lock retrofit thing. I am told that the supplying FIAT dealer retains the CODE, so it needs to come from Japan - whether this is true or not, I don't know.

Meanwhile, looking in eLearn, I see there is an aerial fitted to the left windscreen pillar to receive remote control signals (connected to pins 1 and 2 of body computer connector K). I don't yet know whether my car has this aerial. I saw an aerial-type connector at the base of the left door pillar when I had that trim off, but that may be for the radio aerial. I will take the windscreen pillar trim off today for a look. Knowing FIAT, they have saved a dollar by leaving it off...
