Anyone with a Barbie 500 or the paint code wishes to share?

I'm toying with the idea of spraying mine from Tropicalia Yellow to that Barbie pink... wondering what will happen to the checkered stickers though...

they can be removed but still a silly idea also very expensive and needs a lot of effort since you'll have to strip down every piece of trim if you don't want it pink on the outside and yellow inside doors and boot.

Why on gods earth would you want to do that, and plus the fact im guessing it would be between £1500 and £2000 for a full strip down, respray the entire shell and assembly.

Wrap it in vinyl it will cost half what a respray costs.

respray looks blurry and not shiny as factory made. it bothers me everytime I notice the slight difference in texture between my right door and rear wing. but wrapping looks very good if done properly, also protects original paint.

Not always theres a bodywork and respray garage near me and he does awesome resprays with accident damaged cars and once he's finished you cant tell. its just who you choose to get it resprayed with unfortunately you didn't get a good paint guy.

my rear wing got resprayed 3 times by local dealer and they did the worst job i've ever seen, finally i decided to take it to the most popular (also expensive) body shop in istanbul and they said that it had to be sanded until all paint layers removed in order for it to look as i wanted, which was not very feasible for them as they are very busy. they did all they could and now it looks slightly better and livable. on the other hand my father's car got resprayed last month by nissan dealer and you can't tell any difference from the factory paint. all i'm saying is that there's a risk that she (i hope) may ruin the car. but as you say, it's not always the case.

Thanks for all the replies everyone...

Yup, will have to strip it down for a full colour change... Will have to pay more and pray more for it to be done up perfectly.. hahaz...

Reason why is because my girlfriend loves the idea of having it in barbie pink, and there's not one Fiat 500 so far in pink that I've seen on the roads here...

Vinyl wouldn't get the same kinda result for the pearlescent pink they have on the barbie 500. And it costs just as much nearly...

Smart move not to consider spraying the car. Imagine lifting the bonnet and seeing the 'old' colour. If you bide your time a pink one with come up. Patience will pay good dividents.

P.S. there's 19 pink 500s on autotrader (uk based) starting from under £9k so they're up for grabs.
