Contract says no unauthorised mods as they own car until it's paid for (HP). My own fault for checking but they said no to sideskirts. Didn't tell them about the flaps and sill protectors. If I was to have them done at a Fiat dealer and have the service book stamped up the answer would be different. The quote to fit only was a joke. £480 labour + £180 "paint and materials" + VAT. A total p*ss take me thinks!

Ben was going to do it for a splendid price but as he's not Fiat I can't get it done. Sometimes you can be TOO honest!!!

got naf all to do with either the finace company or insurance!!

the finace people are only scared that your going to put a big kit on and start smoothong all the handles and boot!!
its a genuine fiat extra so tel them to shut up!!

also dont worry about the insurance i just wouldnt tel them anyway and if you did have a band then just say they were on when you bought the car as iyou havnt added anything to it at all and dont have a clue about cars or even what side skirts are........ it works every time!!

now get it done..........no excuse

£480 included the bump strips. Was at the dealers near where I work today due to steering recall. They'll give me a quote on Monday but Ben is probably favourite. I'm a boring old civil servant so worry about these things!!

They are hardly gonna take the car off you, thats the last thing they would want surely ?

Agreed! @ SBaddison It's a money making scam, the finance co will probably recieve a small percentage for making you go through the dealer. As I said mate if you change your mind let me know yeah?

the last thing they will want to do is repossess it as you probably owe more than the car is worth

just do it - it's not like fiat inspect their cars or anything (doing a proper service is challenge enough for them).
