Cinq Sporting will rev to approx 6000rpm when cool but as the engine warms the "rev limit" drops to approx 5000rpm and when fully warm 4000rpm !
It runs ok below 4000rpm but just won't rev higher (no drama it just stops at 4000),this is loaded or unloaded.
Swapped Lambda,MAP sensor and ECU with no change(all S/H)

Any ideas ?

if its temperature based, i would've looked at the temperature sensors first. Specifically the coolant temperature sensor.

is the injector light coming on when it won't rev?

No warning light or any loss of power it just won't rev above 4k when at normal temp.
I also think the temp sensor is a possible cause, it is next on my list to try (I already had the other parts so tried them first)

MAP Hose appears ok, I don't normally rev a cool engine but as an experiment I let it rev higher than normal in second gear on light throttle load (I drove it 2 miles to a national speed limit road,so it was cool rather than cold- but not ideal I agree)

Have you tested the MAP sensor pipe? Just because it looks OK doesn't mean it is.

Is the sparkplugs cut of, or cant it take more gas??

It might be your valvesprings thats tired, if its not the sparks.

I had a similar thing happen with my sei - found through this forum twas the crank sensor, evan though a mechanic told me it couldnt be - and that it was most likely a faulty lambda, so changed the bugger (crank sensor) and she runs like a dream now (y) - part from needin a new clutch and radiator

I removed the crank sensor yesterday and cleaned it, today the fault remains but the rev limit is now 3500 rpm when loaded but now if I dip the clutch it revs to 5000 rpm, so it seems to me to be more like a fault with the throttle position sensor or injector ?
I suspect the engine revs higher when cold because the ECU richens the mixture but once warm/hot the mixture is to lean to allow the engine to rev higher when loaded ?
I will swap the Lambda, crank and MAP sensors with those on my other Cinq to confirm that I've got good sensors then probably go to the breakers and get a complete throttle body and try that.
