Technical Anyone got a gear lever rod?

A friend of mine has contacted me to see if I can help him find the gear lever rod for his Panda.

As you know I'm not technical, but he said:

"I am in need of the rod that goes on the bottom of the gear lever since the gearbox end of mine fell off the other day and was damaged."

He's spoken to VmanC who doesn't have one from a scrapped car (I thought he was a good bet!). Does anyone have this kicking around, or any ideas who might have one new? I will pass him the list of suppliers from the "sticky", but if you know who has these it will narrow it down. :slayer:

Maybe aquamarine or Most Easterly Pandas or Dragon Man or anyone........

As I sold him the Panda a few years ago, I can tell you it's a 1990 "H" reg 1000CL with the 4 speed 'box. Don't know how relevant that is - it's also black & I know the reg, but I do appreciate that's not relevant!

Thanks for that - I'll point him in that direction. I assumed he'd looked on Ebay, but maybe not

i have one, it needs new bushes though as they were used for fallout.
its from off a 5 speed 4x4.. so no idea if it will fit though.

it sounds like he needs to get the bushes replaced in the whole thing if the rods are dropping off!

how bad is the old one? these things straiten up pretty good.
