I'm looking for a replacement boot switch (mine has pretty much disintegrated) for our '05 multi. Also after a couple of the large headed allen screws that hold on the number plate light trim bit.

Cheers

you evan get a Vauxhall insignia boot switch for around £7.00 that adapts. I have done it on mine….Theres a thread on hear…it's 13393912 £6.25 plus the vat. Take the switch apart, pull the rubber touch pad out and the switch "clips" into the oblong surround. Let me know how you get on…..
This is the cheapest option as new switches are £68 or more…..

Unfortunately my switch is too broken for that, the rubber cover is missing and the oblong surround is broken :( thanks though!

Yeah, I'm relating this to the facelift Multipla ….. With the rubberised tailgate switch located in the number plate surround.

I thought that pre face lift ones had a release lever or switch located next to the hand brake???? Can you do a picture and I will see what I can do???? There must be a way to sort it cheaply…….

My Multi (2003/4) has a rubberised switch in the tailgate and a switch next to the handbrake.

Yeah Da motors are great for multiplas and the man is very friendly..
Last time I went in October they had about 5 multis lined up. Only one was the square nose

Checked today, I don't have a switch near the handbrake. There is a plastic cover filling a hole where I presume your switches would be.
Had a good look around the dash area and can't see any other obvious button that could be used to open the boot from the inside - anyone know if there is one and where it might be?????
As stated previously, the little microswitch can be removed from the surround and cleaned with contact cleaner. I had to take the cover off the switch itself and clean the actual contact to get it working again.
Now if only I could find the bit that holds the switch to the hatch!!!!!!!!!!!
