My gearbox bearings were replaced in Feb 2012. For about the last 5 months I have had what can only be described as a rotating whirr whirr whirr noise.
Took the car back to the dealer who could hear the noise and beleived it was the box again. They had the car for nearly a month and done the bearings again.
They could after, and I can still hear a funny noise whirry/vibrating noise. The orginal whirry whirry whirry noise has slightly gone. However they have checked all the suspension, drive shafts, mounts etc and dont know where the noise is coming from.
Their is a chance I had 2 noises and one has been fixed. This 2nd noise is apparent in and out of gear, and more so if the revs are held at 3k. Im now wondering if its anything to do with when the cambelt was replaced?
