Personally I wouldn't bother. You can spend the same amount of money and get more bang for your buck with a different engine base. 1108 or 1242 engines are hardly thin on the ground!
no point turboing an 899, a very mildly modded n/a sporting would be quicker anyway, and already had things like an arb etc.
please, for the love of god, don't gt or ut it!!.. unless you like pointing the wrong way, ditches and/or brickwalls. a little search will show why i'm saying that
here's a hint, alot of weight up front, light car, even lighter back end, heavy lump, power, zero control. thats it in a nutshell, the search will go into detail better
The base TuboJet 1.4 16v engine will fit in, but the intake & exhaust tracks won't. Suppose it'd be a good base to build on though, get a pair of custom manifolds made up etc. you could have a nice engine. My concern with the 1.4 though is the amount of torque, the 'cento chassis seems to cope well with excessive amounts of power but it doesn't seem to get on with large quantities of torque.
Don't discount the smaller FIRE units, my 1242cc engine produced well over 220bhp and still going up before the ECU called halt to play (ECU killed fuel & ignition when injector duty cycle exceeded 100%... guess who forgot to plug the boost controller back in )
