General Any tall people here?

Morning everyone I'm not freakishly tall by any means, but for a girl I'm quite tall at 5'9". Just wondered if anyone was this height/taller - and how you managed in your 500? It seemed to be ok, but I'm just a little worried that I'm glossing over any of these sorts of issues because I want the car so much!

I'm planning to submit my order today and I've got that curious mix of excitement - and fear that I'm choosing the wrong car! I'll be stuck with it for 4 years if I don't like it!

I am a girl of 5'8 and I do get a bit paranoid of my height...I received my 500 yesterday and the height thing is not a problem at all...so u've got nothing to be worried about!!

Have u test driven one to have a feel of what its like?

Yes I have, but I was a little worried that I'd blocked out any issues with the height thing because I wanted one so much! But if I remember correctly I was actually pleasantly surprised that it was so roomy in the front (not so great in the back, but hey I'll be ok!)

...I guess worst case I can always open the roof and stick my head out the top! hahaha ;-)

No problem...I went to show the car to my grandma yesterday lol and she said 'your so tall and the car is so small' :|

but yeah..it is quite spacious at the front and alot of leg room..sometimes i do feel abit tall in the car..but i feel the seats are quite high so i just blame it on that

overall...its a lovely car and theres no need to get paranoid with the height thing!!

Really don't worry about it, I'm 5'11" and have a Seicento and a 126 which are both smaller than the new 500 and I fit in no problem at all

I'm 6ft 3" and i still have a couple of inches above my head, but my wifes car is only a 1.2 pop with no sunroof, a sunroof will lower the internal roof height so make sure that the car you test drive is the same as the car you wish to order

Go for it, I am 6ft 1in tall and I have no problems at all fitting in. It really goes buy personal choice and for me it is an awesome car.

Have you gone for a test drive in the model you want? If so how was that for you?

I'm 5 10 and it's perfect for me. My last car I couldn't see the speedo properly as the steering wheel was in the way and I had to duck, this car is brilliant and I feel as if I have lots of room over my head as well as loads of leg room. I also love where the gear stick is.

I'm 6'5" with a 1.2 Lounge.

In terms of leg room it's absolutely fine, and for head room I'm fine as well.

(I probably look really big in it from the outside though!)

My other half is 6ft 2" and he doesn't have a problem with it (although I guess it depends if you have a long body or longer legs...), he initially thought buying a brand new car was daft but more and more I'm hearing little comments of "its a great little car" etc off him

My Mrs is 5'9...

She drives a Croma though but has had no issues with other little cars.

Im 5'8.5 and by no means tall but I have noticed when I'm sat at the traffic lights at the front by the giveway line, I'm always leaning forward to keep an eye on the traffic lights above because the way the roof, windscreen and driving position is(unless I stop an entire car length away from the line!)

I'm not actually a girl or anything, so I don't frequently wear women's clothing. Well, not if it's not a weekend.

Anyway, I'm 5'11", and aside from choosing a really effective blusher, I have no problems with the car's headroom at all.

Hi Metalpetal,

You will be fine in the 500 at your height.

But bear in mind that if you have a very tall passenger on a regular basis they might have problems in the passenger seat, because it can't be lowered.

The Pop with the solid roof has the most headroom, the fixed glass roof on the lounge robs about an inch of headroom and the opening sunroof robs even more. My partner is 6ft 2 and couldn't really sit comfortably with the opening sunroof that I wanted – his head was just touching the ceiling– so I ended up getting the solid roof Pop.
