Hi, recently found this forum....I seem to own a relatively rare beast as i've
not seen another mentioned here: its a Marea Weekend 2.4 JTD HLX on a W plate (2000), in a light blue metallic. I bought the car about a year ago for everyday use and for our quarterly coast to coast run (North to South) as I
wanted something that was 'long-legged', reasonably powerful (and some!),
economic (really is...especially after my last car Audi 80 1.9tdi),fairly spacious (it is except for rear legroom),and comfortable for the long journeys (about 15hrs travel time). The Marea really fits the bill. I also recently fitted a detachable towbar made by a company named 'PCT', I got the complete kit for around £100, bit of a b*****d to fit but managed it in the end. Apart from regular services have had upto now little to fault it, though its currently in dock having both inner steering gaiters and both track rod ends replaced. I will try posting some photo's if I find the right place to put them.

welcome matey its always nice to see more mareas joining the club. In my opinion their one of the most underated and misunderstood cars fiat have made, i mean, i bought my ELX saloon version with a 2.0 engine with only 5000 miles clocked up when it was 10 months old for £7500! If i was to have gone for the Bravo (which i was orginally going for) with the same spec, then i would have had to have gone for the HGT which would have cost much more
