any ideas on how to escape this?

hi got a fine for takign a right turn onto a main road for a road where only left turns are allowed

got a letter in the post for a fine of 50quid
and clear pic of me going right..

i know best way is for me to pay it
but is there anyway to escape it
any ideas?


i had to take a right turn if i didnt it woudl mean it will take me 30mins more to get home that day
the area i live in suffers huge congestion

some roads turn right and left, some left only as did this one

i only changed my mind when i saw the pil;e up of cars on my left on the main road

please help..

can i ask how you expect to get out of it when they have a picture clearly showing you turing right when you shouldn't have been? at the end of the day you're in the wrong - and with photo evidence theres no way out of it

You broke the law, you knew you were doing it and you got caught. Take it on the chin, learn your lesson and don't do it again.

surely you dont think its the council who deal with the fines? it'd be a district court. ie a procurator fiscal would decide to reimburse you, not some office worker? its the council who get the money though.

ps, i'm staying as neutral as i can in this. i've got 2 sets of points, 1 i deserve, and the other i dont. so not gonna comment on wether you did or not, even though you admitted being at fault and there is photographic evidence... lol.

why didnt you turn left then swing the car round in the road ??? when i worked in a london as a delivery driver it was the only way to get around!!!!
