Any dentists out there?

I have just been to the dentist, and he asked if i wanted an injection so i wouldnt feel the pain (filling), i said yes (obviously) and he said no, you dont need it . he then did the filling, and afterwards said "i told you you didnt need it", but surely if he had hit the nerve i WOULD have needed it

i've had 2 fillings they are to protect my baby teeth as have no root underneath but i didnt have an injection, my dentist gave me this kinda cotton wool thingy that you put next to your gum and it numbs it. was strawberry flavoured

wudnt have any needles im a wimp.

had loads, dunno why i brush twice daily and use mouthwash every time. i had braces for about 3 years which affected my teeth, thats probably why i have a couple of (white) fillings on the outside of my teeth along the gum line

defo have the injection if you get offered next time though

You shouldnt have needed an injection for a filling

yup depends how deep,if there going around the top theres no nerves.
best one was when the dentist said they were going to freeze my tooth.
i expected an injection but he used a freeze type cold air jet.
thats all well except my teeth are hyper sensitive to cold. nearly hit the roof
