Apologies for the thread resurrection but it seemed easier than starting a new thread for a relatively niche question.
I've got a pile (well, about 7) of Panda window regulators with broken plastic clips. Normally I just swap the whole regulator, as it is easier and quicker. However, lately almost all of the salvaged ones i have removed have disintegrating clips, and the quality of the unbranded replacements has got significantly worse, while "genuine" ones seem to be regularly unobtainable.
So, simple answer - repair the ones in the pile, and use them when needed. Easy job.
Except...
First set of clips I received were completely wrong, so got sent back without even opening the plastic bags.
Second set were about £7.50 each, but were from a supplier which I have used for small plastic parts in the past, with good results.
Clips arrived. Look similar to replacement one in the forum guide, but they don't fit flat against the rail. Contacted supplier and they assure me they are correct, and they "have supplied 100s of them to Panda 169 owners already".
Tried on a few other rails, with same results.
In the photo, the old clip has disintegrated where it grabs the rail, but it should sit flat against the metal rail, held by 2 plastic tangs.
The new one clips to the rail but sits at about 30 degrees, almost like it needs sanding down to fit correctly. But, there isn't enough material to do this.
Anybody else come across this problem?
