another question sorry, Idle speed this time

hey,
have just started to notice that my idle is a bit unsteady, it seems to pulse up and down quite alot around the 1100 mark. tryed cleaning the butterlfy a bit but didnt help much
wondering if any one could help or if its just normal?

do these cars have an idle control valve?

i think they do but thats just from what other peopel have said on FF. i cleaned the throttle body more and it seems to have evened out a bit. service says its time for new sparks and air filter so doing that tomorro, hoping that will help.

Hi Hope the service has sorted the idel problem out if that has not done the trick the problem is sometimes causedby air leaks in the breather pipes from either the inlet manifold to the MAP sensor or if te ideal is realy iratic it may be the map sensor itself has given up. I havealso found that the iratic idel can be causedwhen the head gasket goes.
