Another Problem with the car. Help need.(tom)

OK anyone who can help please do..

Just driving home hit a monster puddle turned a corner and car stalled... Kaput... Tried to turn it over it was jammed not turnover at all.. Eventuatlly started turning over then started... and now is running fine.. however there is a tapping coming from the engine and ideas... Performance with the car is fine. no engine warning light but just a single tap coming from the engine. 1.2 16v bravo..

Any ideas please help.

Ps I think the induction kit sucked in some water. ....

Is the tap engine rev related? The danger is you sucked some water into the engine, which is very bad as water does not compress very well.

I'd have a compression test done.

Ok Am I safe enough to drive it a couple of miles to the garage? As I said performance is fine.. ( not that I have rallied it since it happened.. too wet and too scared too..

Get it to a garage and get them to have a look, most likely you've knocked something like the heat sheild loose but you could have done something worse.
