another problem with my 1.4,help needed

hey,today my car started being really jumpy when accelerating,i noticed the red spark light plug or woteva it is had came on,so i pulled in and started it up agen,the light wudnt go away so i atsrtaed it anyway,it soon went away but then it came back on again and my car seemed to cut out,the steering went heavy and all the red lights came on so i gave it an almighty rev and managed 2 catch it without it cutting out on me,im not the most mechanically minded,any of u know wot is up?? help appreciated

Thats the injector light and the 1.4 only has one fuel injector. Check the spark plug leads aren't loose and then the condition of the plugs if they haven't been changed recently. If it stays like that it might have to go to fiat or somewhere else for a plug in diagnostic test.

I had the same problem with my 1.4, the steering went heavy a few times and the headlights went dim, it also started cutting out while idling. Turned out the cam had worn itself away on a few of the lobes to almost circular. I got a new cam, followers and tappets (and cam belt, oil spray bar etc.
