In my marea sx, on the dash in front of the steering wheel there is an annoying sound, it sounds like plastic rubbing off more plastic. Any of you guys have this problem before and if so whats the cause / solution?? Thanks!
The manual says yes, but I have removed the full instrument cluster before to change bulbs without removing the wheel. It's just a case of positioning the wheel and juggling things around.
Use Lever To Drop Steering Wheel Down
Remove Allen Screws Holding Dash Clock Surround.
On The Plastic Piece You Remove There Should Be Some Rubber Square Gromits.if Their Missing Thats Causing Th Rubbing Noise.
Beware Of The Air Bag & Wiring !!!!
I occasionally get a weird buzzing sound coming from in the dash, it sounds like a tape player is on fastforward and has got stuck... anyway a hefty clout with my hand to the side of the centre console usually stops it...
Never worked out what it was though... I just whack and go...

Could be the indicator relay buzzing. Check that the hazard switch is not shorting out with dust etc, by switching hazards on/off a few times. Give the hazard switch and indicator stalk a squirt of electrical cleaner.
cheers pole cat will investigate that, one other thing, it seems to come on when the engine is cold and i set off with not enough on the gas and the engine almost stalls...??? That sudden shudder seems to spark it off...
I could just imagine taking someone for a test drive when I finally come to sell it...
[BUUUUUZZZZ]... "Oh sorry, just a mo..." [WHACK]...
