Annoying electrical fault-Help

Just bought a JTD, u may have read other posts, anyway intermittently the windscreen wipers arent parking properly and just stopping in the middle of screen when i use the fucnction you push the stalk up for

Also the slowest wipe sometimes becomes the same speed as the second slowest wipe! tis really annoying me

I think it may be the indicator stalk unit as i had this replaced on my old bravo, do we think its possibly this?

It could be put it could also be the relay near the front wiper motor. Try there 1st. This JTD isn't really the best buy is it?

It aint lookin so but im tryin to be optomistic!
Wheres this relay then, physically next to the wiper motor?

Yeah you need to remove the plastic scuttle panel. Its under there on the motor.

The only problem is, it looks like it cant be bought separate, but only with the motor.
So open the box near the motor and check all soldering spots - they tend to get loose

You can buy the fuses. Take it to an electrical store to get a match, they have catalogues of relays or get one from a scrap yard (Cheapest Option).

So presuming there will be a fuse in the relay yeah? apologies, im not diy minded!

Right im not sure if this has cured it but my bonnet pull came offf in my hand the other day and have just managed to get it back on, think the cable was chaffing against a cable (perhaps related to the wipers) resealed cable where it had become bare and the wipers are working ok- at the mo! like i said it was intermittent so it may start again!!
