Andi, why did you need to set the gap ? They all come pre set, i really hope you didn't mess about with it.

Seriously why do you refuse to listen?
Also i would really consider checking timing .... was it in Nov time that you put your timing belt back on ?

YcMing said:Seriously, get a set of spark plugs, don't touch them and put them on. I have checked on NGK sites they seems to have a different part number for just the MPI seicento. GEt a set put them on and don't **** about with the gap.
Here is the timing :

Taking your timing belt cover off, see if you can get cam pulley and crank sprocket to line up.

Martyn said:Andi, Ming has a point - certianly with the plugs. Most common plugs are all pre-set nowadays. For the sake of a tenner, if that, it won't hurt to try changing them again - but this time, without doing anything.
Mrcento said:why did this happen? leads are like suction cups, absolute bugger to get off sometimes, they dont pop off unless they weren't fitted properly to begin with
when i was having major running issues and major overfueling on the cinq i bought new plugs put them in and the car was worse than ever, a quick check with the feeler guages showed they were out by a massive margin. tightened them up to the correct spec and all was well. but for mpi's they should be pre-set, thts appears to be what the plugs i got were set for anyway
YcMing said:Which brand? And did you check part number?
Mrcento said:champions, and yes of course i did, i didn't just go into a shop and buy a random set of spark plugs, threw them on the cinq and hoped they would be oklol
