Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

ahhh, so i hadnt missed it, just cant add 2 n 2 together currently or even start to think straight

think i may try and get the hgt mot'd tomorrow... bout damn time, then can see how she fares against Shabash!

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

I have indeed had Shabash! fettled with by our infamous Chairman and on first impressions it's fekkin brilliant! Much more pull lower down the rev range, the flat spot I currently have (suspected dodgey MAF) has been evened out and the mid-range pull is greatly improved.
As for MPG, I'm reserving comment on that at the moment as the remap invloves an ECU reset so Shabash! is still re-learning but it would seem to be unaffected at present. Will give more feedback after the next 2 tankfulls when I will be better informed.
Thanks to Nige for bringing the kit on Sunday and spending a lot more than 10 mins doing it and also thanks to Mr Wim for so kindly donating last years karting prize to Shabash!.
Is it time to drive home yet? ;)

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

Told ya so :)

Better still - if you have got a dodgy MAF the results with a new one will be just mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Glad it got donated to someone who will appreciate. May as well thank Andy and Tommy too then whislt your here for driving slower than me at the karting :)

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

Lol!
It has inspired me to get the MAF changed over at the weekend and then to get her booked in for a service, that's for sure. ;)

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

Pleased you like the results Al :)
We did yet another 1.3 500 today and got yet another software build!! The car has been out just over 6 months in the UK and they are on the 5th build that we have seen on UK cars! Bloody good fun when done though and will give the HGT a serious run for its money... whilst doing 75mpg hehe

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

It would only be 37.5 mpg for me though as I'd need 2, one for each butt cheek! ;)
Thanks again Nige.

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

Nearly on the light on the first tank and showing 334 miles. Reckon I've got another 10 before it comes on so considering she's had an ECU reset on this tank full that's looking promising (last tank before the map was 350ish to the light).
:)

I'd be a bit concerned as to were the torque steer would put it!

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

wow , that mpg is amazing. i only get 300, 315 max on my 1.6sx to a full tank.

Fiat bravo 1.6sx
Modifications - window tints , alloys , blue leather interior, silver dashboard , meshed bumper , blue pedals and gearknob , blue footwell neons, clear side repeaters, custom fiat badges, blue LED fog lights, and soon (in post) Boo Vinyl!

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

smaller tank tho, 50 ltr iirc not 60

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

I always thought it was 40l in all models and 50l in the HGT's

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

Nope, 50l 1.2 - 1.6, 60l 1.8, HGT and oil burners.

Re: And the verdict from the Shabash! jury is......

Gaz: Something wrong there then. Should get more than 315 miles out of a full tank.

I get about 370 out of the coupe and thats a 2ltr so for you to be getting worse in a 1.6 indicates to me, either you're driving silly speeds everywhere or something is slightly amiss.

At the moment, Daisy with its 1.2 engine seems to get 500ish to a tank. Looking to improve that with a full service shortly.

Oz: Sounding good :)
