Alternator has packed up on a 2008 Fiat 500 1.2 Lounge.

I need a replacement and want to get it in advance before I take the old one off. Any idea on what one i should get? I know stop/start and air con means more AMPS, but this has only air con and not stop/start.

Any idea what one I should get? 90 or 120?

Thank you

I looked for alternators at Autodoc, and found 85 amps for cars that only have A/C. If You should decide for 120 amps there will be a higher capability to produce current, but normally the output is limited by the actual demand of Your car.

90 amps at 14 volts is 1.2 kilowatts. A significant amounts of power. All of my Pandas have the 70 Amp alternator.

Shop 4 parts quote the FCA original at just 70 Amps but thats around 1KW

EPER shows the JTD with either 70 Amp or 90 Amp. It seems pointless to go over 90 Amp even with Stop Start.
