Technical Alarm/Remote locking after battery change

Main car battery was dying, so bought a new one. Turned off the alarm using the key fob. Changed the battery but now the remote locking and alarm does not work. Key code is recognised and engine starts and runs as normal. Central locking works using the key in the lock.

any ideas?

try putting the key in the ignition turn it so all electrics are active and press the lock unlock button a few times should cure it

Turned key to MAR, gave it a try but no change.

ok try it without the key on mar, just put the key in and try that im not sure how i reset mine if electrics were on or off and if that fails disconnect the battery again and then give it about ten mins and reconnect

Still no luck, does tthat mean it's a dealer job to re-code the alarm?

im not sure try ringing the dealer see if you can get any more info out of them. does the light flash on your key and have you opened the key up too see if anything is loose i know the keys are prone to the switch coming lose which can be repaired with a fine point soldering iron or even try changing the battery in the key if your near derby and can get too me i could take a quick look for you..
