Alarm ECU

Fiat Bravo 1.8 HLX
My alarm has stopped working and the dealer has said that it isn't a problem with the keys or the roof receiver but the ECU. They want nearly £300 to fix it but I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Mark, try and find out the part number of what they are trying to replace. I have 20 OE complete Fiat alarms to sell for the Bravo/a and immobilisers, it may be the same as I have anyway

Sorry to sound like a total novice - how would I get that number? How would they know it?

It may well be on the unit itself, but if the garage have told you a price they must know the part number - ask them for it

Left in a cloud of anger (too busy to explain) - have tried to find unit myself but failed - doesn't seem to be where picture in handbook suggests it will be.
Could you point me to it at all?

Also - more importantly how much do you want for one of your units? (I need a price as I am selling and will knock it off the price)
