Technical Airbag light

My girlfriends W reg Bravo trofeo has a reoccuring problem with the airbag system. Every few months the warning light on the dashboard stays on until we take it to the main dealer who fiddles with it but never seems to properly fix it. Has anyone else experienced tis problem? We have had enough and are seriously considering getting rid of the car.[V][!]
