Technical Airbag Light On

Hi,

My airbag light has come on in my 1.2.

I know it may be a loose connection somewhere but i was also messing about with an aftermarket stereo and the dashboard yesterday so don't know if i've done something due to that.

Whats the easiest way to find the problem?

I have MultiECUScan and all the leads but i've not used it before - would that tell me anything?

Also, where is the OBD port on these things?

MES should tell you something, is it the paid version?

Port is under the cover on rhs of dash below fog lights, you'll see it, part of the black textured part under the trim strip. Pull off with care whilst interior is warm to avoid snapping retaining lugs.

My experience with MES is that it reads and tells next to nothing on a GP if free version. If you need full version, I have it.

Probably connector rattled out with your increased drop!

Thanks - i've got a day off Monday so will take a look then.

Its the free version...i bought the interface and adapters some months ago but haven't even tried them yet, it was just an impulse purchase as i thought they'd come in handy, like the Tech 2 i have.

Will see what it comes up with, but 50 euro isn't bad for the full version.

You're are right, its probably something rattle loose after lowering it!

What a complete idiot - there was a menu option for the passenger airbag beside the dshboard which was set too off - turn it back on and the light went out!

I guess somehow it got tripped when i was messing with the stereo wiring.

Either way sorted.
