Ok so I've finally decided that my punto is not supposed to kill cupras , and i'm not gonna throw the HGT engine in.I'm into giving my engine a bit of ups though!!:slayer:First thing I thought of , is a more free air filter(like a k&N one). What do you think about em??Everybody just refers to them as being a very good thing to have.I have my doubts though...Won't dust and little piece of garbage be able to get into my engine??Plus , how much job can just a filter do?Shouldn't I reprogramm my ECU(sth I'm terribly scared of-bad experience with electronics)in order for my engine to allow more air to be burned and work under the new conditions???Any negatives??Your thoughts?
Thanks punto mates
*Sorry for the repost(You may also see the thread at the Punto section ) but I didn't get my answer so I thought that maybe this is the right place...*

a replacement k&N pannel filter will be fine, their inductions kits not so good though.
you cannot reprograme a hgt ecu but it wont be needed to be just for the filter it will learn its there

Thanks a lot mate!!!I don't have the HGT though..It's a Sporting one.The problem is that here , there's a lot of dust.Won't it get in my engine in through the more free filter?I'll possibly get a GSR induction kit(Just mentioned the KN as an example for anyone who hadn't understood what I was talking about..)
