Dunno. What I'd do is:

Drain out all the fuel in it now, and try to get out any in the pipes (there may be a useful priming device..)

Put in a tenner's worth of diesel.

See what happens. If you've driven it a bit already, I can't see the above making it any worse.

yeah just spoke to a deisel engineer he said was best to drain before putting the deisel on top advised adding 500 ml of deisel cleaner and mix it up best i can this will help the fuel pump, he said the fuel pump is the main problem i could knack it he worked out its 4 to 1 iv put around 17 litres of petrol and 60 litres of deisel on top he said very risky but if it cuts out and wont start fuel pump failure

I reckoned that - £1.4/l for diesel. £1.32 for petrol, about 60L to 16.66L, just over 3 1/2:1; not sure about cleaner, it'll have been short of lubricant. I doubt putting extra lubricant in will make a difference - if it's knackered it's knackered, if it's OK ordinary diesel is what it's supposed to run on. A quick look on eBay shows pumps at £30-£120.

yeah do the pumps have to be programed like the transits do, its now running ok but its a bugger to start, i left it running for 30 mins then drove 5 miles didnt want to go far, then parked it up for 20 mins then it took some starting and was loud

Nasty with modern cars megger complicated ecu's very likely to be nasty this is not going to help.Maybe just some useless info someone might want to know used to own a merc 190 diesel 2.5 ltr non-turbo no ecu's in the owners manual it recomended putting up to 20% petrol in the full tank in teperatures less than -15c just goes to show how times have changed.

Did this on my work van, just filled with Diesel at every opportunity, Drive it easy, they start amazing from cold on petrol but once hot they ignite on powerstroke basically knocking the ignition timing out.
Should be ok, just don't give it any grief.

Don't put diesel cleaner in this will thin the fuel out even more.
I'd say adding 100ml of two stroke oil would do it more good :D

just text a macheinc i know and he said the two stroke oil is a good idea but try and mix it up(y)
