Hi all
I will be looking to fit a second amp in the near future to power up front components in my '96 Brava.
I already have an 8" sub & 2 ch amp in the boot.
My questions are:
-Is it 5.25 inch components I need to get?
-Advice also please on fitting a second amp appreciated.

Thanks
Peter

Im not sure about the size of the components up front.

But for the amp up front, you could mount the amp under the passenger side front seat and just case it in with a couple of kick plates to protect it. Keeps it outta the way but close enough for the wiring to be short. Run the wires underneath the carpet and hey presto!

Hi Luke
Thanks for the advice..pardon my ignorance, but is it just a matter of securing the amp and connecting the speaker wires direct to the speakers?
Also will it need to be earthed?

As you can tell..the complete newbie at work here..!!

Thanks
Peter

Im not sure of the space underneath the seat but you will have to mount it some way or another yea. And yes it will need to be earthed. You'll probably get away with attaching the wire to one of the mounting bolts of the seat. (as long as it touches bare metal of the body work you'll be fine).

You'll need to run another power cable through too, but dont get one thats too long otherwise you'll have to hide the wire somewhere, and its not too efficient with it coiled up.

Then you've got to run the RCA cable and remote amp cable from the HU, then the speaker wires to the speakers. If you are using components, you'll have to run the speaker wire from teh amp to the crossover, which will split the cable in 2 for the seperate tweeter and mid range cone.
