Hello all!!

I just stumbled upon something which I think users of this thread may find extremely useful.

I cracked a wingmirror glass, but the actual mirror casing was fine. Fiat told me that the glass was not available on its own, and that I'd have to purchase a whole new casing, and have it sprayed. A 3-figure money job. This was not acceptable.

I checked ebay, and found a seller named prestigeaccessories111 selling the glass on its own for 6.99, which was very reasonable. The cutting isn't perfect and the glass would benefit from some extra sanding and polishing on the edges, however the shape itself is perfect and a great fit, and has a large self-adhesive pad which is very strong. So yeah - BIG moneysaver.

Hope this helps someone as much as it helped me.

All the best

I have a the same problem, After a to close shave with a parked car while avoiding an on coming car hogging both lanes. I took out the mirror panel from my door mirror. I been told that I can't use the replacement panel as there noting to stick it to. The frame is intact, but I'm told there's a bit inside the frame that's missing. is this right and can I get this part. or am I facing getting a complete door mirror assembly.???

if you are concerned about price get a wing mirror from a scrappy which shouldnt cost the earth

the mirror glasses with the stick on pad are made by summit as i sell them at work. they stick onto the cracked old glass so this still need to be inside the mirror cassing fro it to work. and they can't be fixed onto the back plate directly.

The cracked old glass is no longer inside the mirror casing. can I use polystyrene block stuck to the inside of the casing to mount the new stick on glass.?
