I have this error P1442 is this the pump that’s faulty? Im also getting risk of filter blocking warning which eventually puts fan on, last time this happened van stopped.

I also took tank off and it has pat fluid lots so its not that.

Thxs for advice

Not sure if relevant , but on a 2012 Citroen C3 Picasso that used basically that same engine, the Eloys Fluid tank just before the N/S/R wheel even if fluid level topped up they needed to be bled using a diagnostic tool to get the air out to work and the pumps were known to fail also.
Fairly sure the alloy 1560cc? engine in the Scudo is the Peugeot/Citroen based one.
There may be more information on the Peugeot or Citroen Forums relating to this.
Just read your error code online and found this if relevant. :-

"After the fuel cooling tank needed replacing ( ploughing through deep puddle at high speed), my local garage replaced that, all was good.
But, on refilling my almost empty fuel tank, the 'Risk of Filter Clogging' appeared on the dash; with the warning triangle of death too...so, back to the garage who found this P1442 error code with "additive system low or adding impossible"
Took it to Citroen dealer following week as advised, diagnosed again (kerchang..£125 please) which resulted 'additive fuel pump fault out circuit, checked wiring and power supply all ok, recommend to replace pump/tank.'
the cost i'm quoted from Citroen is £672 (yikes

I didn't get a detailed read out from the dealers (shame, I realised too late) but after doing the 2500 rpm trick on the last journey I made, the warnings no longer appear."

What is the 2500 rpm trick? and is my pump faulty? I have lots of fluid in the tank, i have a snapon tool which in functional tests additive pump is listed, it has a start stop but not sure what its doing? Please see attachments

I suspect the 2500rpm bit is where people with DPFs but only do short journeys and experience cars failing to do Regens properly.
I have seen it on many vehicles, even one of my daughters with a 1.6 VW Golf diesel, short trip to work and after a while the error code comes up. Cured by a can of DPF cleaner and top up fuel in tank, then a 30mph trip at around 2500rpm down the dual carriageway without stopping so in 4th gear? This allows the ECU to run the Regen until completed without interruptions which throw up all the error messages.
Trouble is modern small diesels are not suited to town use.
On the Snap On tests has it got a function for after replacing or topping up fluid reservoir, there should be a help section to guide, but basically it involves priming the pump, assuming it is working to to get the air out of it.
Sorry for the delay replying my Forum connection went down , although other sites were still working.

Ive been told they dont need priming 🤷‍♂️and ive not topped up, theres plenty in
If yours is the Citroen/Peugeot 1560 engine like the one I mentioned then if you look under the vehicle you may see something like this.
How do you know there is plenty in? This is serious question, the reason being if you have a message on screen saying "Im also getting risk of filter blocking warning which eventually puts fan on". This points to the same issue, is it possible most of your vehicle use is short distances rather than up and down the Motorway? Sometimes the reason the fan comes on and those messages is because the computer is trying to do a Regen of the DPF filter to clean it, but due to short trips it is unable to. Incidentally if that is the case it will use up the Eloys fluid much quicker.
If yours is a later version using Adblue which you fill next to the normal diesel filler then what I said is not for that model, so the advice you have been given else where may be correct.
I am not standing beside the vehicle so it isn't always clear.:)

I thought took it off had a job hold it its that full, my problem is the additive open circuit problem i assume as the dpf sensor is not picking up eloys/pat fluid hence the warning.

Its done this before but it was empty, a regen and tickety boo all good, but now open circuit problem is causing the warning, are these pumps that fickle they just pack up?

It is not unknown for them to fail, on the Citroen one my diagnostic tool told me the amount of fluid left and also the state of the DPF filter.
Then I used my mates Snap On tool to prime the pump after refilling the Eloys fluid bag.

where do i check on my snap on fluid level? cause its got loads..
I don't know for sure as I only use my mates on odd times as I am retired, but if you have got it to recognise your vehicle and then go into the bit about replacing DPFs and Eloys Fluid reservoirs etc. It should guide you. I did it on the Citroen with your 1560hdi engine and it was fairly straightforward. I told it I had fitted a new DPF (I had removed and cleaned it) and then told it I had replaced the Eloys Fluid (I had refilled it using a kit, don't get it on your hands, kit comes with plastic gloves etc.)
You find a bit about it online if you do a search with those specifics.
