Hi everyone, this is my first post on this forum, so be gentle.
I recently swapped my old steering wheel that didn't have any controls on it, for new one that have. While I was swapping steering wheels I noticed that my steering wheel column doesn't have proper wiring that should be plugged into the steering wheel controls.
My question is, if I swap my column with one that have wiring for controls, will controls work, or there is some more wiring that goes from column to radio.
Thanks

Regarding your problem...
If you swap the whole column, it will normally include the clock spring (that sits under the steering wheel), so the wheel controls would connect there.
However the wiring doesn’t stop at the column. It still has to go from the column connector into the car’s main loom and then to the body computer / radio. If your car didn’t originally have steering wheel controls, some of that wiring or the required pins may be missing. So the column swap alone may not be enough.

Thank you a lot for fast answer.
That's what I was worried about. I thought maybe they include wiring by default in all car. I just wanted to change volume on my steering wheel, because I installed recently android touchscreen multimedia, but oh well...
