Technical Power steering

Today when I was driving my fiat punto- after 10 miles the power steering stopped working. There were no lights to show any error message just on my dash board I can read as check power steering. So I parked my car to the road side but when I restarted it (power steering) started working again with no issues (I again drove 5 miles but no issues then) do I need to consult mechanic ? Please suggest

In general yes, consult mechanic...but find competent one (that's a challenge).
Most problems like that are related to the power delivery and quality. Battery, alternator, main leads/wires (especially main ground/earth).
Then main fuse/relay box. Then you can mess with the steering, sensor, motor etc. Not the other way round.
