made a post about this before and would welcome any suggestions on mods to my car....

i have a DV36 Dumpvalve

I have bought some skirts, looking at lips and poss a valance. not sure about a spoiler really undecided.

i want...

chipped

ebach springs shocks etc

strut brace (currently in the midst of contacting a company)

hybrid turbo

not sure if i like the alloys on it - poss get new (opinions)

may get later model seats (not priority)

er can anyone think of anything else coz basically i am hoping to keep this car for years and not looking to change it in the near future so i am planning exactly what i need and order etc... so would be grateful for any other mods you can suggest etc...

What exhaust have you got?
Mine's a Scorpion cat-back and it sounds excellent.

I presume you're getting your strut brace from AA? It should take you 5 minutes to fit.

The nicest alloys I've seen are the Azev A ones in 17" size that Sparco has fitted to his car. Nice 5 spoke flat face things. Lovely.

Dunno about anything else on your list.

i would concentrate on looks more that trying to get more power out of the engine, its done a fair few miles now it might go bang,

Hard to say at the time what mod's you want etc, you always see something and think "gotta have it!" I will run u through what I am getting/what I want, I think some things will be different but mostly the same.

Got:

aftermarket exhaust (cat back)
G-Tec chip (came today, yaaaay! Just gotta fit it tommorow. Can't beleive how small the chip is, I was expecting it to be twice as big. It's smaller than a five pence piece !
K+N and airbox mod
Bailey DV26
17" Alloys
Colour coded sills
PRV

Want:

2 Bar boost gauge and pod (Xmas pressie!)
Coilover suspension (will proably a year or so off at least!)
Recaro seats in black leather
Full Le Kit (will probably just order the skirts to start off with, then the lips etc at a later day)
A boot spoiler (a nice cadamuro one, not a "whale tail")


And that would be it really, Mind you I say that but If I was at that point in two year's time I know I wouldn't be happy!


Dream:

a set of 18" alloys (poss. a set of Azev's)
Hybrid turbo (If the turbo went bang I would go for this straight away)
50BHP jet Nitrous


So there you have it! Quite similar in some respects as to what we both want from our coupe's.

I'd agree on the visual mods - DIAL RINGS! - you won't get anything better to lift your interior - the binnacle rings look like they should've been standard and the speaker rings for the door cards look ace.

Why, cos the sun reflects off them? I've never had any problems like this, including a holiday abroad where it was actually sunny.

If you are going for the modded coop look, they are cool - but there were some a polish guy did on the fccuk forum a while back which we later found out were illegal...

you've got a good point about the modded coop look, they arnt quite as subtle as other possible mods, i guess its down to personal taste really personally i like 'em although come to think of it the standard ones arnt exactly ugly anyway

You need a new exhaust. I've got a Milltek. Sounds alright, though strangely enough, the best sounding exhaust I had was the worst one. It was a Ragazzon for a 20V, and it was too restrictive. Sounded great about 6000 rpm though. The Milltek immediately made the car feel like it was more free-reving. Then the decat made it even more so.
You could get yourself a boost controller too. Apexi AVC-R is nice. Would you like me to spend any more of your money?
