the loss of jobs is bull, its progress lots of things change and lots of people loose jobs, did these people who say a hunting ban will loose jobs stick up for the minors?
we used to hang people in public then that was stopped so people lost jobs, we used to hunt witches then that was stopped so witch hunters lost their jobs,

people say there to many rabbits so they gotta kill us with guns an dogs, but then they go an kill all the foxes that kill us why not just let the foxes live so they can kill us instead

Do you all think that because the government has banned fox hunting there will be no more foxes killed??

pgchostja or whatever seems to be more concerned about a fox being killed than the reason for it. Some of the "toffs" do it for fun which I don't agree with but farmers and game keepers hunt foxes for a very good reason. If a farmer sees a fox chewing on the head of one of his livestock he won't think twice about blowing it's head off with a shotgun, whether the government has banned it or not.

How does this sit with you all?

Personally, I think there is a need for vermin/pest control - it is the act of doing it that I am more concerned about. There is killing an animal humanely, and there is killing it by being ripped apart by dogs who are all pepped up for the kill.

Right where to start- Trying to remember everything that has been said......

People that go fox hunting- Go to a meet one day you realise that 80% are not the so called "ruling class"!

No loss of jobs c'mon how does that work.....Altough vets would get more work and money with the amount of dogs that will have to be killed....Sounds good to me

Also the amount of Fox's being killed will not drop..... infact they're more likely to be injured instead of killed and slowly die of their injuries as people who have fired a shotgun will realise the reason why.

Granted the way fox gets killed is not the most humane way i'm not goin to deny that but they are killed instantly not "ripped to shreds" as so many people seem to believe!

HAHA, well you are from the ruling clarsses.
Oh and she's not by the way (y)

Anyway i'll go back to my corner and agree to disagree :p

I don't understand - surely the most humane way is being killed instantly? So the dogs do kill instantly, apparentely, but then you say it is not the most humane way?

To go into detail they have their throats ripped out they samething that most animals do stoats etc........

But i meant it as many people still don't see this as humane

Humane to some is putting it in a nice warm room, give it a meal and a nice little injection!

Paul- I think you should actually think about your argument and try to see where hunt supporters are coming from, I don't expect it to change your views in any way shape or form but maybe it'll give you more to talk about than A) class and B) foxes being culled. I can see why a lot of people abhor hunting yet I still stand with my views and choose mainly to keep my opinion to myself. The behaviour of some protesters that hunts come accross disgusts me and if anything makes my belief stronger. You're just being antagonistic give it up, it's an old debate that just p!sses people off and goes no where.

Oh and for pro-hunters:
text "no" to 6338 to oppose the ban on hunting (results shown on ITV news)
:p

Ferrets do the same that dogs do except underground

Whilst BB-Guns guess u mean Pellets as BB's would bouce of don't always kill 1st shot

That's if the whole arguement is down to being humane or not?

Or is it cos foxes are "they're so cute" were as rats aren't?!

My argument isn't about the fact foxes are 'cute' - they need to be culled, along with rats and other animals that impinge on the farming community.

It is just the methodoloy and ideologies behind it - a comprimise does need to be found.
