Technical Abiemt Temperature Sensor replacement

I have a 2017 Fiat 500x. The service engine came on and I took it to my local mechanic. Said the error messaeg was for the "Ambient Temperature Sensor" My air conditionor was not working. The Mech said that the sensor needed to be replaced. It is embeeded in the Passenger side mirror. (Dumb design) I ordred and replaced the entire mirror. Now I need to reste the computer to get the car running again. Any advice?

Thats the external temp sensor..

Was the readout 'flatlined'?

The sensors are @£20

we have had ours fail i think twice now. first time was in august a week after buying it. was 45C outside and when sensor fails the AC wouldnt turn on. fun times...
