Well i got

C in Design
E in maths and physics
U in general studies

not as good as i hoped but not getting upset as not going uni anyway.

was a bit annoying seeing all the "high achievers" stood outside the college getting there photo snapped by the press and us normal or failures just walk away and hope for the best (n)

done get too down about the press thing mate, i had exactly the same at my school. when i was in my a-levels the scholl was 79th in the top 100 in the sunday times. i got a d in business, e in general and failed everything else (english lanuage as, french as and design tech a)

to say i was disapointed is an understatement (i kinda expected it tho tbh, too much time doing everything but...) and the fact that everyone was expected to do well put the pressure on aswell

i do regret not putting myself out more though, as all i ever got at school was you are capable, but just dont put yourself to it

im fortunate that i have worked my balls off since then, as i wasnt going to uni, and i now have a good job (pay isnt fantasti atm, but not bad) but the prospects are superb, get urself out there and show them u dont need to have all the qualifications behind you to sucseed in life (y)

yer i know! i aint arsed just seems a bit selfish of the college making a big deal of there high fliers where as the others its kinda "heres your results, good luck for the future, bye" and your out the door!

i was wanting to go uni but the 30 grand debt is just way too much IMO.

it is selfish yeah, but at the end of the day its all about publicity and putting the right image out there unfortuantely.

at least you were given the good luck with your future speachy, i got mine, was given a galre off the headmaster and an even bigger one of my head of year (ex next door neighbour, too many years terrorising i guess)

uni wasnt for me, id had my fill of education at the time, and alwasy said that if i wanted to or needed to go at a later date id do an open uni course, which im looking at now for my job. the debt doesnt appeal to me either, got enough as it is let alone with uni ontop of that

chin up and show em the finger

Friend Just called me about her German A Level and someone messed up and lost her Coursework and so they are considering giving her a 'U' which is daft because she smashed both exams and on exam marks alone achieved a 'B' grade.

Now she has to wait until said person who sent off her coursework to the examination board gets back from somewhere, shes not to happy but I think it'll work itself out.

Don't worry about low grades, even if you wanted to go Uni you could get in quite easy without ace marks.

Well I got English Lit - B, IT Computing - B, Geography - D.

Mum totally ignored the fact I'd overcome the odds set against me by the English teacher and got a B instead of a C, and gave me a lecture on my Geo result:bang: . Also surprised at Computing too, thought I was on for a C.

No intentions of uni though so i'm not all worked up over it, quite pleased. Just my Mum wants straight A's or nothing, grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Well done to all of us though! Here's a pat on the back.

Yeah my mum reverted to that lecture too... "You get B's and don't try, imagine if you tried". Well, maybe she needs to look a bit harder because I did try. OK maybe I could have put in more, but you can always do more in hindsight...

She works nights so is either asleep when I do homework, cooking, or cleaning lol.

Bit late, but well done all (y) I didnt do all that great (same story - buming about) though was 1% off an A in computing  C's in everything else (ICT that i self taught in year, & General studies) Sadly i also did an Oracle course instead of an A-Level, so i passed that with flying colours but counted for crap.

Anyways that aside, even if you didnt get all that great grades, its never too late if you're moving on to uni. Ive made a killing for the last 2 years, topping their previous benchmarks with ease reaching an average of 84% this year (2nd year) - so well on couse for first class honours. So if i can, so can you :D
