Nice one guys!

Ah, the memories come flooding back - back in 1990  I was on for 4 straight As in Maths/Chem/Physics and Biology, and a place all set up at Leicester Medical School with a conditional offer of 2 Bs and a C.

BUT it never happened - ended up with 2 Cs & 2 Ds :chin:

Went to college to do a Accountancy Foundation course, passed with credit, and then onto the 2nd year of a 4 year BA(Hons) Business Studies degree - of which by the end of it, I had dropped out.

YET I am now a professionally qualified accountant (y)

1% off an A grade? Might be worth asking for a re-mark - you're unlikely to drop to a C and might just find that 1%.

My sis got her results - 3Bs so she's off to York. She was only 5 marks off an A in Maths which was pretty good (since I got an E) but Maths aint the sort of exam where you could be re-marked.

I did notice that the news was hammering home about the lack of people with passes in physics causing a lack of engineers and mechanical scientists.. Maybe I should take a change of career as I got a C in physics (one of the hardest subjects) and if it wasn't for my mechanical maths paper I'm sure I would have failed maths entirely!

lol i could never have done physics.... i took biology at AS and got an E

i did get AAAA this year tho

I needed three Ds at A level to get into uni for automotive engineering needing maths, physics and one other (I did geography). I got a D in geography, E in physics and U in maths but they still let me in as I was 'enthusiastic', having a good interview really pays off! Just finished my first year and got a C in maths, a B in engineering technology and an A in mechanical engineering and science (physics/maths). Well chuffed with the 83% I got for a 50 page materials analysis report. :slayer:

Congratulations to everyone who has passed their exams! (y)

cheers :D

its really annoyin me that people keep askin wot im gna do with it... cos i cant think of anythin lol

A year on....

Some really good results there! well done!

After not doing too well in mine last year :( (stuppid AA grrr :p ) I decided to go into a career in Accounting, I got my ACCA result today and I have passed the first year :D

Goes to show that any idiot can be an accountant :p
