A short video for you to see although I didnt know it was recording I pressed the button to record and the light went out so I thought the battery had gone flat in a short space of time but it was alright. YouTube- Keyring Video Camera

Thanks (y)

The video quality really is quite amazing.

I'm going to order one of these just before i go on my hols.

Got my car back tonight after being in the bodyshop just over a week.
It seems that the slight knock did more than just graze my bumper, my offside wheel must have taken quite a bang as the geometry was way off.
So, my in-car camera has saved my insurer many, many thousands as the bill for damage to my car included - repairs to gouges on bumper, repairs to small grazes on paint on wing just above bumper, new suspension & geometry check plus a couple of new tyres.
So thank goodness for the camera.

I've got a t-eye camera which is good and I also have a torch cam (looks like a small torch, has 8 LEDs and a camera lens in the centre) for the slightly higher resolution.

YouTube- Cam quality comparison

Have to say that the torchy does drop the odd file now and then.
I've just bought another cam off ebay & having loads of problems. Sent one back & they say nowt wrong with it!

This vid represents everything recorded during a 40 mile round trip (going round the roundabout at the start of the clip was the halfway point!

Are you using the T-Eye now? Looking into one myself but would like a good image for night if at all possible

Oi! My taste isn't that bad :p (thinks of the crap playing in the video of the Focus Estate on its roof  :p).

Another 2 better vids as the one in the link above the quality is poor on as I've edited it.

well, old torchy ended up being a bit of a disappointment, just not recording properly in the end - but was good while it lasted.
Looked around ebay for something better & came across http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1080P-H-264-Vehicle-Dash-Camera-Car-Video-Recorder-HDMI-/190421129826?pt=UK_Gadgets

Which is a proper mini camcorder.
OK, so a bit pricier than the key fobs etc but hoping it's more robust.
Great screen mount, flexible lens, swivel display, auto on/record with ignition, recycle recording.

Top resolution is 1920 x 1080 @30fps. There is also an option of 60fps but the res is only 848 x 480 and drop the res to 320 x 240 and the frame rate is 120fps!
Whatever, it's a neat little device to always have on charge in the car, always recording the driving, battery always ready in case pictures need taking.
Going to give it a test run over the next few days, see what it comes out like. Will post comparison pics later.
